Our History
SRE Power, headquartered in Houston, Texas, is a tech company committed to developing and operating power plants powered by baseload renewable energy sources, including geothermal, waste heat recovery, and municipal solid waste (MSW). Operating on a global scale, SRE delivers innovative and sustainable energy solutions.
The journey began over a decade ago when the SRE team led the construction of 15 wellhead geothermal power plants in Olkaria, Kenya, for the Kenyan Electricity Generation Company (KENGEN). Building on this deep expertise, the team remains at the forefront of advancing renewable energy technologies and business development.
Today, SRE Power holds contracts to supply up to 70MWe of geothermal electricity to power distribution companies in the Philippines. These projects aim to provide reliable energy for 500,000 homes, reinforcing SRE’s dedication to sustainable energy solutions.
